I like this a lot as it's very expressive and surreal. I know of only one other artist here at dA who gives so much thought to the small worlds around us. I'm sure you'd love his work:

white paper has really been squicking me out lately, not sure why. i like the manilla envelope color and the fact that white shows up on it. :)

It was a good work, and I can understand your affinity against white - but being an avid watercolorist I always "save my whites." The white of good paper (or good canvas) are the whitest you can get and I generally glaze heavily so I don't paint where I'm going to use white. Also, white paint also has a bluish hue to it so it changes a work sometime.
